We really, really enjoyed it. Most of the team came looking forward to it, while a few were a bit skeptical. In the end, even the skeptics were completely thrilled – especially by Ms. Sanou, who brought us to “orchestral readiness” in such a short time. As team leader, I observed some interesting things. Partly, it was quite similar to working. Some were faster, some slower, some were easily re-engaged by a rhythm cue, some lost focus after a short while, and one colleague only really relaxed and got into the swing of things at the very end – we could have easily gone on for a few more hours. I was surprised by one colleague who’s a real go-getter in the office and was initially resistant to the changing rhythms and instruments during the drumming session – Ms. Sanou handled it flawlessly. For that and everything else: thank you so much! It’s quite possible we’ll see each other again sometime!
